How do I make a reservation?
Our online booking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, our main office, (503) 897-6500, has reservationists available Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. If you do make a reservation online a vacation specialist will contact you to confirm and finalize your rental within 48 hours. The reservation is not final until approved by an agent. Once approved, the reservation is subject to all terms, conditions and policies.
What is your payment policy?
A reservation deposit payment of 50% of the entire rental fee is required and must be paid at time of booking. The balance of the reservation will be due 30 days prior to arrival unless the reservation is made within 30 days of the check-in date, at which time the total amount is due at time of reservation.
50% of the remaining balance is due within 30 days of the initial reservation deposit. Final payments are due no later than 60 days prior to arrival date.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Cancellation: The applicable portion of the cancellation policy is dependent upon the time of
a) If a reservation is cancelled 30 days (45 days for holiday periods) or more prior to your check-in date, a $100.00 cancellation fee will be made against the credit card on file.
b) If a reservation is cancelled less than 30 days but more than 14 days (less than forty-five (45)days but more than 30 for holiday periods) prior to the stay, an amount equal to ½ the rent and a cancellation fee of $100.00 will be made against the credit card on file. Unless the reservation (in the same unit) is rescheduled within 30 days or the unit is re-rented for the cancelled time period. If a rescheduled reservation is cancelled at anytime, all funds will be forfeited.
c) If a reservation is cancelled 14 days or less (30 days or less for holiday periods)
prior to the stay, all of the funds collected are forfeited unless a reservation (in the
same unit) is rescheduled within 90 days or the unit is re-rented for the cancelled
time period. If a re-scheduled reservation is cancelled at anytime, all funds will be
forfeited.AVH reserves the right to vary the cancellation policy in special circumstances.
Are refunds available in the case of inclement weather?
No. Refunds will not be given for cancellation or interruption due to weather.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 4 p.m. or after.
Check-out is at 11 a.m. sharp.
*A late check-out will result in a $50/hr fine.
What about reporting damage?
Please report any problems or damages observed in the rental property upon check in to AVH. Unreported problems and/or damages are assumed to have occurred during occupancy and guest shall be held responsible for those damages.
Are security/damage deposits required?
Yes. The security/damage deposit is to ensure compliance with the terms of occupancy. The security/damage deposit is held until determination of condition and content of rental property upon checkout. Security/damage deposit will be sent within 15 days of departure in the form of a company check or via credit card provided there are no charges pending.
Is there a charge for extra keys?
You will be provided with 2 keys to your rental property. A re-key fine will be collected for lost or unreturned keys.
Who is responsible for damage to the rental property?
The person who’s credit card is on file will be held responsible for any damages to the rental property, including damages to furnishings and household items, which are a result of your occupancy, excluding normal wear and tear. In the event that damages result from a guest's occupancy, Agent is authorized to utilize the "Security/Damage Deposit" to reimburse the Owner for said damages.
Exception: Any problems or damages that were observed and reported to Adventure Vacation Homes upon guest check in.
Are telephones available?
No. Most of our properties have decent cell phone signal strength.
What about maid service?
AVH properties are cleaned before your arrival and after your departure. Daily maid service is not available.
What supplies are included in the rental?
For your convenience, properties are equipped with kitchenware and supplies for everyday cooking, paper towels, toilet paper, hand, laundry and dish soap.
May I grill outside?
Yes. Most of our homes have grills (check descriptions).
What about house parties or noise complaints?
Rental Guest understands that we will accept families, married couples and responsible adults over the age of 25 ONLY with the exception of married couples where at least one of the individuals is over the age of 21. House parties are prohibited. You certify that you have read carefully the limitations placed on the number of persons permitted to occupy the premises, and agree to abide by such limitations: Exceeding the maximum occupancy will result in a fine and/or you will be asked to immediately leave the premises with no refund.
Any use of the rental property for a purpose other than residential use for a family vacation must be approved by AVH. A request must be submitted to AVH for use for any event such as weddings, receptions, family reunions or other large gatherings. If the event is approved, the Guest will be required to pay an additional deposit to be determined by AVH and abide by AVH's determination on the requested event. AVH reserves the right to cancel your rental reservation and occupancy of rental with no refund if Guest misrepresents an event.
Are foreign checks accepted?
No, your checks must be issued in U.S. funds and be drawn on a bank that operates within the U.S. Federal Reserve System.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are on a per property basis. If pets are allowed, there is a non refundable fee of $50 per pet per stay. If pets are allowed, guests must abode by all local pet regulations and leash laws. AVH reserves the right to charge guest’s security deposit or bill guest for any pet related damage or cleanup of pet debris upon departure. If pets are NOT permitted and evidence of a pet will result in an additional cleaning fee and fined for any damage.
